Well, dont think only abt camera…

I was lucky to see Iphone today in one of the Apple stores…it is just mind blowing…Touch screen , motion censor, music, videos, in-built youtube videos , camera, photos , virtual keypad , great speakers, no buttons on the phone, wi-fi , unscratchable LCD panel…These r just few of the miracles of iphone…It truely is amazing..The hype which was created for it, it was worth…

Worth buying phone if u hv got money and right service for it…it is gonna be released in India in early 2008..

In short, a great phone…Cant compare it with any other device..

There is really no way, in short comment, to express the functionally of a N95. My comment is simple. If the 95 has set the bar 4 feet off the floor the IPhone has not left the ground. There really is that much of a difference. A comparison of the two is not even justified.

Hi im 15 and my dad recently purchaced me the new nokia N95 and its is just phanomenal, it has so many features that i wouldnt know where to start, for example how many phones do you know that have features like a barcode scanner and dual slider, it is truly the phone of the future, the iphone is just an over exadurated ipod, thats why people think its good, take somone elses design and ideas and stick ipod on it and people will go mental for it, beleive me the N95 is the phone of the future, like they sqay, its what computers have become, onli problem is the battery is a little weak

iPhone is more expensive than the n95 and it’s not nearly as good. the n95 is more of a phone, you can replace the sim, battery, and your own memory.

It has a 5mp camera that works amazingly well, so you don’t even need to carry around a camera anymore.

Even though it’s not candy like the iPhone, it’s still user friendlier than Windows Mobile.

Both touch screen, both wifi.

Um, I phone is half the price for a reason.

Eg

Apple iphone-
2mp camera, generic lens, big screen, good interface, INBUILT BATTERY, wifi, touch screen, 4gb memory, no GPS, no flash

Nokia N95
5mp camera, carl zeiss lens, 2 way slider, no touch screen, wifi, b/t, GPS inbuilt, stereo speakers inbuilt, flash, 1gb card comes with model, battery can be replaced.

No wonder its half the price, if u want a good phone buy a N95, if you want an MP3 player buy an ipod.

PS good luck changing the battery on the iphone.

i have had an iphone and its a piece of SH*T … it does a couple things but isnt as much as a revolutionary phone as u might like to think … im about to return my iphone to purchase a N95… the iphone froze on me and has soo many glitches they need to fix … and as we all know the camera sucks … plus for such a “great” phone it doesnt even have a AIM or IChat … if ur deciding between the two i definatly suggest the N95.

All are talking about iPhone and N95. What about W960 from SE which is to be launched soon. Feature wise it is one of the best to possess. Nokia can’t compare its camera and sound quality with Sony’s.
W960 has a rotating stylish wheel, a touch screen and WiFi too and some.

One big disadvantage is iPhone that its battery can’t be replaced. Also, you cannot set mp3 ring tone in that. Apart from the great UI, there is nothing special in iPhone. It is more of iPod with phone features.

Hi, i am a IT professional and i own a n95 and i also tried the iphone in the display center. What i analyze is that as a professional view nokia n95 has very advance functions, its a 3G EDGE technology which gives you the ability to let it work effectively in any remote area where the network boosters are at least 100km away but its network performance is extremely gr8, i tested it my self on a long drive. you can count n95 in 3 categories 1st is Mind blowing extreme wifi and broadband speed (GPRS n MMS etc..) 2nd is it has a same sharp dvd like display 16M colors and we use 32 bit colors in our normal pc and if you multiply bits into bytes then into kilobytes it will give you 16 million colors at the result of 64 bit mean realy its dvd phone and the cam has more then 2000 pixels capturing power at the zoom of 5x WOW. 3rd is its multimedia and when you will hear or manage the music in it, you say in your heart that how lucky i m to have such phone.

But iphone is a beautiful phone, it has a sleek design and the most worst thing in iphone is its strict operating system like you can not go into the systems files where mostly the important data is placed such as contacts db. i suggest iphone is ladies kinda phone, i am willing to give it to my wife on her birthday.

I would take the N95. It offers more and its not sim locked to an extortianate tariff. It may cost more to buy but after less than a year the iphone will cost more because of running costs.

I own both The iphone and nokia n95, The n95 is a way better phone by far, camera is way better way way better, the camera on the iphone is cheap, its only a 2 megapixel with no autofocus and it takes video at lower resolution than the n95.the features are better on the nokia, its cpu and gpu are far superior to the slow one in the iphone, both phones can change the screen position from horizontsl to vertical, but the iphone has a stupid faulty mercury switch to do this and stops working. the n95’s OS is better than the one on the iphone, Nokia are the number one phone provider in the world, let the professionals do what they do best, Apple is a floppy disc in a blu-ray disc world, I mean you wouldnt use Apple Os on your computer if you were given a choice between Windows now would you? Iphone a lot of hype not so great when you buy it, n95 is the king.

aye this is my view the regular nokia n95 and the iphone the i say the iphone is better. but the new n95 8gb is better and better looking then iphone to. for me when the phones color is black its way sicker and the are more features to it then the old n95. when the n97 is going to be out there will be no other phones like it 20gb internal memory and a 5mp camera.

You must not know the capabilty that the iphone can do it has eveything that SOHAM said earlier and on top of that u can wach videos, you tube, and play Nintendo games on it and watch it all on ur TV, and in my Car stereo. I can cantrol my itunes on my computer ne where in my house with the iphone and do the same with my 360 all that on my iphone. iPhone: I have seen and played with it. My comments: very good flashy *gadget* for people that want to show off.

Touch screen: awesome but will get your screen dirty. No other means of interfacing!!!

Lack of proper keyboard: do you know how hard it might be for people with relatively bigger finger to use it?

Camera: crappy 2mp, way outdated.

No 3G!!!!

In built YouTube videos??? So what?!? You could visit the website anyway! Point being, there is no support for 3rd party applications -well it is an Apple product right?

Locked with only one provider -again no options!

Very, VERY expensive -since you have to pay for Apple’s amazing marketing campaings.

That’s my 2 cents. Nice to play with but how long till you get bored or frustrated with all the effects and start wanting efficiency instead? I would rather go with Sony’s w960i or even Nokia N95, or for touch screen experience Samsung F700: all of them with vast exeprience in the mobile phone market…

i had a nokia n95 which was excellent but i got a iphone 2 weeks before release in the uk and am loving it only thing i Miss is the gps now i actually have to get a map out instead of using route66 or co poliot or even the new version of tomtom which is now compatable with the internal gps for the n95.

But now the n95 8GB version is out when i get paid i might sell my iphone and upgrade to the 8gb version of the n95 as i do like the keypad on the n95 compair to the touch screen of the iphone which can get very dirty if only they had intergrated a SiRF Star III chipset into the iphone then that would have been awesome.

But thats what iphone 2 is for with its 32GigaByte internal flash memory which is rumored for next march maybe feburary also the iphone does not complie with eec ruling with a replacment battery which is why they are having to change the design so if your iphone battery dies bye bye phone back to apple for 2 weeks.

also with the new update for the n95 up to version 12.0.01 with its new agps which now locks onto satelights within 5 seconds its more handy on the go but if your into the latest fashion accessorie i’d go for the iphone

Last in i was in my local shopping centre and i went in to the o2 shop and asked the man about everything and i played on it, checked out the features, and i was like im having this, so i was on the way to the bank and saw my friend in phones 4 u, and i was telling him what i was about to do and he said you need the nokia N95 if you want that, for 270 pounds cheaper i am so glad that i made that choice, it has everything i want, and spiderman 3 built into it x

If you use mobile web (not just Wi-Fi), N95 is a much better bet in terms of speed. iPhone does not have 3G which kind of makes it ancient in European web usage context.

Besides iPhone is a first-gen product and has inherent stability and bug issues.

Both phones were test-driven by the Gadget Show on Channel 5 in the UK recently and it was pretty clear that N95 whups iPhone’s sorry arse.

I have an N95 (free, on contract with O2) but am going to buy an iPhone just for the heck of it, but in the US. The pound is strong so why not?

Any of the phones are not better than the other – its down to user compatbility. Im a gadget freak – and when the iphone camwe out, i went to the apple shop to try it. I admit, the iphone looks wicked, but using it was just like a PDA. i prefer the N95 as its a phone and pc in your palm, and not a PDA like device. If your after showing off ‘i got an iphone. i got an iphone!’ then yes, go buy one. If your after user satisfaction and productivity – then the N95 – which i would say is the winner.

well….its good 2 compare these phone..i own a n95…..checked bout iphone….its good though…..but….but….u talk bout n95’s battery life…look at the i phone….u cant take out its battery….iphone lags a lot…..check this…if nokia or any other brand cell hangs…u can immidiately take out the battery n restart…but look at i phone if it hangs..pray 2 god 4 mercy…if the battery malfunctions….u cant do anything…until u meet the dealer…n giv ur phone for some days 2 him….sad though..

N95 is THE iPhone killer. Hands down. It has everything the iPhone does, including motion censors and has a 5mp camera. It has wifi and built in GPS, as well as a friendlier media centre than the iPhone. You can go onto YouTube with the wifi. Not to mention the virtual key board on the iPhone is small, and your finger normally strikes multiple keys when you want it to strike one. The touch screen on the iPhone is also buggy, and uber sensitive. Long story short, if your deciding which one to buy, go with the N95 all the way.

Hey Guys….I now own both a N95 and an iPhone. So a quick comparison will do:

1. N95 definitely clicks better pics…far better than iphone. Camera has so many settings too. But the iphone has a sharp and clear display to look at those pics and vids on.

2. N95 has GPS…very useful feature which has saved me from getting lost couple of times. iphone has google maps but its only for display and has no live GPS feedback.

3. N95 has tonnes of apps. & games which i install and remove. iphone now does have quite a list of apps out there now but u have to use ibrickr or equiv app to install them (makes me nervous doing that). Also u cannot arrange installed apps into diff folders, so everything is seen on home screen.

4. N95’s battery life is pathetic. I recently upgraded the firmware to 20.0.3 but still there is hardly much improvement in power consumption. The GPS does save me but halfway to my destination the batt has a tendency to die down and strand me.

4. Iphone is definitely far sexier looking than N95. I love its slick & sturdy-feel design.

5. iphone has a nice touch interface which is worth every ounce of its reputation. Zooming, surfing, scrolling etc is so much smoother and easy on it. Makes life so much easy.

6. Oh ya! 1 thing though….all that crap about scratch-resistant LCD screen…..do not believe it. I already got a minor (faint) scratch on my iphone’s LCD.

In the end…..i m planning to keep both for the time being.

Hey there i work for o2 uk. Gotta say we go the iphone in the uk, its pretty stunning but really all the staff have aggreed it can’t beat the n95. Sure the iphone is pretty. If you want style get the iphone (tho the n95 aint exactly ugly its still pretty nice lookin) The iphone is a sleek design and very nice. The N95 is better than an ipod in the sense of its music player, more formats it plays including you can install new formats. You can install your own programs such as MS Word for symbian etc. Iphone is nice but i mean you get a nokia n95 hell i go to work on a train every morning watching my favorite tv episodes, i have a slingbox i mean i record something on the tv into my slingbox i put the app on my phone and two buttons pressed half a minute later i can watch an episode of southpark, i can use faster download rate than the iphone to download using 3g or wifi. The video player is a lot smoother, yes you can get youtube on iphone, but you can also on the n95, its more robust to, and quicker searching. Another thing, the iPhone doesn’t have gps, the n95 does. Really the N95 all the way. I’ve got both and i sold my iphone it was just not up to the tech standards. As said previously an overated guys dream people already thought of a fonepod or iphone ages ago, apple used this idea and made something that looks stunning, but nokia thought ok we want to make a phone with everything. And guess what. They did.

Thanks for sharing these ipod thoughts. I’m bookmarking this for future reference.
The new features may satisfy almost all requirements and may meet almost all expectations. Digital entertainment, the superior quality of the sound, the best technology in MP3 domain, great battery life and huge memory are only few features that are worth being mentioned.
I am currently on holiday so, for this reason, I’ve nothing better to do than surf the web for ipod music, lie around and update my blog. Well, more or less anyway.

NOKIA N95 is better actually, I had the iPhone before. I gotta say, it’s NOT that magic! Since this is the first experience for Apple in the cells market. NOKIA has so much experience in this type of devices. Now I have a N95. It’s really better, in ease-of-use, performance, camera, video, and much much more.

I use to own a iphone for about 2 weeks then i got angry about the way you dial in letters for texting… not just that my best friend just got a new N95 and he has alot of music and love having music on my phone but he could not send me any and that got me even more mad. now i have the same nokia N95 as my friend and i think it is the best phone i have ever had

hey guys, im in australia and have recently purchased the nokia n95 8g , its so awesome, got everything, gps, wifi, awesome camera net, plenty of features + i love pluggin it into my tv n listening to the awesome music player and after i had it for just a week my brother wont get off it and is buying 1 tommorow morning, i bought n iphone from usa, absolute rubbish, touchscreen, awesome, touchscreen, meh… dont like it , very sleek and not quiet as expensive, clearly because it is not as good. but overall n95 kicks its ass straight to hell, but i havto say , goodluck apple in making a phone that is better then the n95, because its going to be goddam hard, unless you simply use all the tech of the n95 and add touchscreen

I have a N-95 clssic, then bought an I-phone. after 2 days, i exchanged both. Got my N95 8G, it’s awesome. i phone is just an ipod, putting in a phone that wont work well. Unless Apple makes an i-phone that is just like a N-95 with good quality touch screen, then maybe it will be good. unless, n-95 is the best…..

I find that buying an Iphone is a very easy because there are no upgrades or different types. One Iphone and you get everything. You plans may vary depending on your needs. When you buy an Iphone you don’t have to get the Internet athought you should. It needed for all the bells ans whistles. and my bro recently got an iphone…

and i must say that N95 is better than i phone any time..!!!

N95 fone speakers are 500 % more louder and better than i phone..once my bro was having a call and he i phone was in his pockets..and he couldnt hear it…hahaha

the speaker sucks..!!!

N95 has a great camera..!!! i phone dosnt..!!!

and touch screen is a big prob for typing msgs..!!! i phone..hmmm..all i can say is that u can see i phone just to imagine what technology has come too…it can show that anything is possible..!!!

i phone..not very comfortable to use..!!!

N95 is the best nokia fone ever…it has everything a person wants..!!!
its a slide fone..!!! so very stylish..!!!

I just got an N95 and I thought about getting an I Phone but what really do I get? N95 is not just a phone but a professional tool more like a mini PC. The I Phone is just a gimmicky GUI with very basic functions. With the N95 I can voice dial, have a 5 megapixel camera and an excellent video recorder which saves me having to carry around other equipment. The I Phone just has very basic tools which are not cutting edge and you would still need to carry around a dedicated camera etc as the I Phone has very meagre quality camera. I can shoot a video and then plug my phone into my TV and watch it seconds later!! Can the I Phone do that?? I can surf the internet through my N95 on my TV!! The N95 is just phenomenol whereas the I Phone is very ordinary and even avid fans have a lot of pain trying to point out it’s advantages. The I Phone is basically just gimmicky eye candy but with very little guts and functions compared to an N95.

Nokia phones are the best phone investment that you could make. Year after year they have been providing quality phones for consumers. Unfortunately the new Nokia phones can cost you an arm and a leg, especially an unlocked Nokia N95. I found a great site to find unlocked Nokia cell phones from auctions. considering the n95s 5.2 megapixel camera to the iphones 2.1 it hardly compares mate,also the iphones locked the n95 unlocked also built in gps navigation..iphones crumby 2.5 network,n95s 3.5 means browsing,dowloads and all other media is way faster then theres the weight n95 wins handsdown i could go on with a lot more but if you want a real multimedia handset im sure youl pick the n95..and for the other comments mentioned above the n95 does them all plus a lot more..you do the math
