Its only words…
Sometimes we underestimate the power of words… We say something which may sound pretty ok to us, but may have catastrophic implications…
Kabeer das keh gaye
Aisee Vani Boliye, Mun Ka Aapa Khoye
Apna Tan Sheetal Kare, Auran Ko Sukh Hoye
The importance words have, is profound! The kind of impact they have on your own soul and on the soul of others, is undebatable… A good word even from a stranger has the power to keep him happy throughout the day… And a katu-vaani (bitter words) from our loved ones, can push into a never ending doom…
And words have this downside…
Just like an arrow once released from the bow cant be taken back… in the same way, words once out of your mouth can never be taken back!!
So, please watch what you say… coz you never know the depth of hurt it can cause to your loved ones…

ok ma’am
Such strong words! And when I read Kabeer, I just remembered on of his saying instantaneously, just like that.. I haven’t even thought about these lines since primary school, but as soon as I read those lines you posted and the name Kabeer, they just popped into my head!
kal kare so aaj kar, aaj kare so ab
pal mein pralay hoye gai, bahuri karega kab
Man o’ man the human brain, freaky eh?
You are right, Nova
We are mater of unsaid words, once said we become slave.
Areee???…Aisa kya bol diya tum ne appne kisi apne ko??…
I know the worlds cant taken back once said but the following word ‘Sorry’ if it is spoekn by heart (Dil Se!!) can provide some magic/miracle and can become an paramount source in healting the wound!!
Good one and quite an important one too. Thanks for the reminder.

Did anyone say something bad to you???
I am always quite careful with my words but sometimes you really have to give it to some sort of people. Remember – laatoon ke bhoot batoon se nahi marte.

Nice post on the immense importance and effect of words. Good, bad or the ugly, all words have an effect. Humorour or serious. An effect they will have.
I always have believed and wherever, whenever possible, have tried to live by two simple things:
1. dont do/say things for which you have to be or say sorry
2. dont do things for which you have to lie.
Simple, but often times tad difficult to do.

Thank you for the reference to my post along the same lines: Holes in our Fences.
Forgot to mention, I have added you to my RSS feed reader. Will be keeping an eye for further views from your eyes!
True very true and thanks for the reminder, but this always doesnt hold true…. there would be many times when ur loved ones will be pissed off at something and may want to take thir anger and frustration out, and at that time its ur loved ones who take the pinch but that is cause u know that they will understand … u parents may have said somethings to u in anger which by themselves are very bad, but can they ver think bad of u? No! even is their curses and bad words, its the love which comes to the fore and we need to identify that
really true… I myself m trying to play with words…
