… is the outcome surprising then?
Frankly, I wud have been shocked if Pakistan would have tried winning the game to let India through to the second round of Champions Trophy!!

Girl why blame some other country??? We should write our own fate and by losing the first match we very much did that!
Yap!!! We kinda ensured that!
BTW, I am looking for a good book to read…. Any suggestions?
That’s one way of looking at it.
I asumed that Pakistanis would want to play against India in the finals and try to win, to take revenge for the T20 loss. That would have been Pak style!
Nahhhhhhhhhh!!! For them, it is not about winning, its about making sure India doesnt win! See, they lost!! So that India doesnt go forward! If you had seen the match, you would notice the smirk on their faces…
The outcome is not surprising at all. But one thing for sure is… For the first time, all Indians must have been praying for Pakistan’s win yesterday …
Yes, we were
And they let us down
I agree with Smita! Its a sad state to wait and depend on someone to lose so that we reserve a berth in the next stage!
I know
Come on… they tried their best… didnt you see the match ??
And listen.. there is not one cricketer in this world.. no matter what country and what race.. who wouldnt want to beat the Aussies…
Simply coz they are the best team since the last 15 years…
yea they are not the same since some of them retired… still…
everyone wants to beat them…
I dont buy this theory that Pakistan didnt try…
I want to believe you… But, something tells me this was pre-planned! And moreover it is always easier to go from a winning position to a losing position, than vice versa… Dont you think its easier to throw away a game?
this defeat was needed in any case. then only these guys will start working again. it was better not to take pakistani help, we already are on south africa’s mercy for making us no.1
True!
exactly my thoughts!
Totally agree!
Our cricketers needed this. Why blame someone else?
Probably!
Well that was a very close match … We could have gone into semis ….
But no point blaming them … If we had won the first match , we could have gone into semis straight away !!! … a bit of bad luck was also on India’s side … In such competitions when every match was so important , a rain wash out was as good as curtains for India …
Yap! A lot of factors worked against us I guess!
But they almost beat the aussies — while India were outplayed both times. I’m rooting for New Zealand -
Me tooooo!! And they won!!! Yay!!
I completely agree with smita! we didnt do much, why expect from pakistan???
Hmmmm yeah!!! We dint do much
LOL now look at them. After they lost to NZ as well, they are crying foul about match-fixing. Can’t even take defeat in the spirit of the game.
Like we Indians can?
