I had written about the movie a while ago and as if that was not enough, here I am with the lyrics of my mostttttttttttttt fav song from the movie: Raat ke dhai bhaje!! Though, I dont like calling it that… Coz I think the most catchy part of the song is: “Pehli baar mohabbat ki hai… aaha… aji aakhiri baar mohabbat ki hai… aaha!!” The rap that goes on in the background jells beautifully with the tune. Whats weirdly beautiful about this song is that 2 female playback singers have given voice to one actress in the same song? And it doesnt sound bad at all!!! You can expect only Vishal to come up with something like that… The beautiful urdu words by Gulzaar saab add a new flavour to the song!

The post on the song can not be completed without mention of the playback singers, who have made the song sooo alive. Rekha Bharadwaj‘s voice has so much namak… the style in which she sings the song beats even the likes of Sunidhi Chauhan. They complement each other very well.. The song has also revived long lost singer Suresh Wadkar… After “Tum se mil ke“, this song gives the veteran singer his due credit. Kunal Ganjawala strikes again after “Bheege Honth“

Mere Mehboob

I have always been a fan of Urdu… I think the language is beautiful and is most certainly the best language you can even express your feelings in… While watching Mere Mehboob yesterday, I remembered where and how I had gotten addicted to this language. It was with this very movie, which I had seen eons ago!

It was then and its today, my love for Urdu has only increased with each passing day…

Why such morose songs all of a sudden you may think. I am a boring person anyways, so have always loved morose songs more than any other type! 🙂

Khaas-e-urdu

Urdu is one of the most beautiful languages in the world. You have kavitayein in hindi, poetries in Englidh, but no language in the world captures human emotions better than Urdu. It gives words not just meaning, but every single word is so full of emotions – u can feel it! No wonder then, that urdu is called the “Lover’s favorite language” 🙂

I love the language, and though I am a naive at understanding its intensity, I do admire it a lot… One of my favorite lines of Urdu..
