Indian dances famous abroad!!

Its good news for all us Indians !! 😀

Looks like, our dances not only enthrall us, but also people from other countries… I happened to meet one such admirer (thanks to wordpress 🙂 ) Want to thank you Jana, for taking so much interest in our culture and dance.. 🙂

You can view her post on Nach Baliye here!! 🙂

Hows this?? —
Madhuri – Badi Mushkil —

Madhuri – Badi Mushkil

This is one song from Lajja, in which Madhuri clearly stole the show!!! The song not only has GREAT beats, but Madhuri’s magic raised it to epitomic level…

Her steps – WOW!! 😀

Her expressions – WOWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

Even though, Manisha (an accomplished dancer in her own right!) is there in the dance, you just DO NOT want to take your eyes off Madhuri…. She simply steals the show!!!

Madhuri – Chane ke khet —

Madhuri – Chane ke khet

I was thinking today morning that my blog can not be complete without any mention of various dances and certainly not without mention of Madhuri’s dances.

So, here comes another category which will have all of my all-time favorite dance compositions. 🙂

The first one to go on this category has to be that of Madhuri… What I admire in her dances is not just the ease with which she can do toughest of the steps, but also the way she gets into the character of the song – her expressions usually are the life of her dances!! 😀

Tanaaz-Bakhtiyaar shown the door! —

Tanaaz-Bakhtiyaar shown the door!

TB

Its hard to believe but the news is true… Tanaaz-Bakhtiyaar are out of Nach Baliye 2…. But, they mostly got voted out because of lack of audience votes (Hussain-Tina and Yash-Gouri being favorites in this regards)… Why I say this is that they are probably the only couple.. (mind you, in NB1 and NB2) to have gotten the centum score of 30 in most of their performances… (Whew!!)

This happened to the couple, who along with their choreographer managed to impress (And throughly at that!) the likes of Saroj Khan, Mallaika Arora Khan and Kunal Kohli… !!!

I am not implying here that Hussain-Tina and Yash-Gouri are not good… they certainly are… but they have not given as many stellar performances as Tanaaz-Bakhtiyar… But, I guess this is another one of those STUPID game shows where the STUPID, IRRATIONAL, IDIOTIC audience decides who wins!! And I am one of them. Like Manav said when he got eliminated “It is not a talent show… It is an audience-bound show jisme audience votes matter”… They probably matter more than your talent does… Like the classic example of Hiten-Gauri… I have never seen worse dancers in my life… who kept getting selected in the suraksha chakra simply because they have near-fanatic-but-insanely-stupid fans who do not understand the difference between “acting” and “dancing”!!!!

God Put some brains into us rationale-starved people!!!

Nothing justifies rape! —

Nothing justifies rape!

Was going through random blogs when came across this one…

What typically hit me about the blog was the lucidity with which the author has expressed her views on rape. Would like to quote one para from her blog

Rape is never, ever, ever, the victim’s fault. No matter where she is. No matter what she is wearing. No matter how drunk she is. No matter where she is walking. No matter what time it was. No matter who she has slept with. No matter how she is talking. No matter how she is acting. No matter her age. No matter if she has taken a self-defense class. No matter if she is a sex worker. No matter what race she is. No matter if she fought back or did not fight back. No matter if she screamed or not. No matter if she carried mace or not. No matter if she was on a date. No matter if she was sleeping in her bed. No matter if she left her window open. No matter if her door was unlocked. No matter if she is married to her rapist. No matter if she has slept with her rapist before. No matter. It is never, ever, EVER, the victim’s fault.

And I completely agree with what she has written! I think Rape should be an unpardonable offense… some thing for which even capital punishment is NOTHING!! And there is no damn thing in this world which can justify this crime!
